Punjab may roll back tariff hike
Stung by the public outcry over power tariff hike, the Punjab government is likely to roll back the increase by eight to 10 per cent per unit of electricity. According to highly-placed sources in the Punjab government, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has asked officials of the PSEB to work out their annual plan by affecting a reduction up to a maximum of 10 per cent in the jacked up tariff.
