If you are gearing up for a new winter wardrobe, don8217;t forget to invest in experimental wool sweaters, the kinds showcased at the Australian Wool Innovation8217;s fall winter collection 2009 held at InterContinental The Grand earlier this week.

In a small fashion show, models Indrani Dasgupta, Sonalika Sahay and Amanpreet Wahi walked the ramp in formal and casual wear that ranged from oversized coats in hairy yarn and bright fluorescent colours to tartan pencil skirts.

The men8217;s collection was just as hip 8212; front-tapered jeans and slim silhouettes, designed to show off

a toned body to flattering effect.

Gothic boots, bright tights and faux fur leg wear completed the boho chic look.

The unconventional colour palette moved between camel and cognac, rich Barolo reds and midnight blues to brilliant plum.

8220;The look was created with the Indian winters in mind,8221; said Pascal Senkoff, regional manager of the Australian Wool Association, Asia. Now, only if the mercury would dip.
