
CHANDIGARH, April 22: The Haryana Wrestling Association has selected 26 wrestlers, including eight women, for the 20th Junior National Wrestling Championship to be held in Lucknow from April 27 to May 1. Announcing the team here todya, M S Malik, president of the Haryana Wrestling Association said that the Haryana would take part in freestyle as well as Greeco-Roman competitions.
Sunita of Hisar, who will compete in 63 kg freestyle, will lead the Haryana women’s team. The Haryana women wrestlers had won the title in the last edition with three gold and two bronze medals. The Haryana had also claimed the boys free-style title in the last nationals with four gold and three silver medals.
