CHANDIGARH, Aug 12: The Haryana government has modified the revised pay-scales under Haryana Civil Services (revised pay) Rules, 1998 and Haryana Civil Services (assured career progression) Rules, 1998 of certaincategories of posts of its employees, with effect from January 1, 1996.
In a statement issued here today, Finance Minister Charan Dass Shorewala said the government servants were required to exercise their option within three months from August 7 last. Fresh option for withdrawal of the pay would be obtained from all affected government servants before fixing their pay in the modified revised pay-scales from January 1, 1996 or any other date applicable to a government servant, he added.
According to new modifications in the revised pay-scales, Director General (Health) has now been placed in the Rs 22,400-24,500 scale, plus a non-practising allowance (NPA), subject to a maximum pay of Rs 25,900.
Similarly, civil surgeons, principal medical officers (PMOs) and deputy directors have been placed in the pay scale of Rs 13,500-17,250, and those who have completed 13 years of service will now come under the scale of Rs 14,300-18,300.
Senior medical officers superintendents/deputy directors and district programme officers will now get a scale of Rs 8,000-13,500 initially, which will increase to Rs 10,000-13,900 after 11 years of service, and Rs 12,000-16,500 after 20 years of their tenure. While the State Drug Controller has been placed in the Rs 12,000-15,000 scale, his deputy will be in the scale of Rs 10,000-13,900.
The assistant state drug controller will be in the Rs 8,000-13,500 scale.
In the Education department, the language teachers (Sanskrit, Hindi and Punjabi) have been placed in the scale of Rs 5,500-175-6,300-EB-175-9,000 and those who have completed 10 and 20 years of regular service will now come under the scale of Rs 6,500-9,900 and Rs 6,500-10,500, respectively.
The head teacher at the primary level has been placed in the Rs 5,500-175-6,300-EB-175-9,000 scale and those who have completed 10 and 20 years of regular service will come under the scale of Rs 6,500-9,900 and 6,500-10,500.
