Jain’s contribution

Vivek Jain, a candidate for the forthcoming RWITC Committee elections, had promised a disbursement of Rs 4 lakh for the welfare of syces. In a press statement, he said a cheque for Rs 4,00,000 has been given to the Race Stable Workers Welfare and Research Society. The utilisation of this amount will be specifically monitored by a committee of trainers and owners to be formed shortly.

Among the various options being considered is a plan to build a recreation centre for the syces. Jain has received offers from some owners to donate a percentage of their stake earnings to this fund.
