MUMBAI, MARCH 27: Greater Mumbai Police (GMP) scored a facile 4-1 victory, after leading 3-0 at the breather, against Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana (WCG) in the Bombay Hockey Association First Division League at the Mahindra Stadium, today.

GMP opened their account in the very first minute through a field goal by Sandeep Jadhav. They increased their lead in the seventh minute when Vinod Chavan scored from close. Dynaneshwar Jadhav put the issue beyond doubt when he found the target in the 13th minute.

On resumption, WCG reduced the margin in the 53rd minute through Harimohan.

But GMP rounded-off the tally in the 62nd minute through Vinod Chavan.

RBI, UBI IN FINAL: Reserve Bank of India defeated Bank of India by 72 runs and Union Bank of India beat Bank of Maharashtra by 10 wickets in the semi-finals of the Senior Division Bank Shield cricket tournament.

Brief scores: Reserve Bank 266-5 in 45 overs (Rajesh More 90 n.o., Yashwant Bhosle 57) bt BOI 194 (Yashwant Bhosle 4-29, AniruddhaRagnekar 3-39).

Bank of Maharashtra 178 (Kishore Sawant 73, Arun Shetty 4-41, Nilesh Bhosle 4-12) lost to Union Bank 179-1 in 30 overs (Ajit Kolte 88 n.o., Sunil Chaturvedi 60).
