IT is impossible to compete with nature8217;s bounty, but we sure can complement it in our own innovative ways. Bringing in artefacts for your garden is Gardenscape that8217;s put up an exhibition at Dhillon Farms, a ten-minute drive from PGI. Decorative pieces in stone, wood and iron, pots, lights, water features, lamp posts8230;there8217;s a lot to choose from. 8220;These have been designed in rainbow stone and brought from Rajasthan,8221; tells Geeta, a landscape designer and the brain behind the venture, as she takes us through the collection 8212; a turtle family, picnic table, bird baths, tulsi pots, traditional chaki water features. The window boxes, perfect for plants and pillar structures, hurricane lamps from Zen Spaces are ideal for evening parties, adds Simi, her partner. Also worth a dekko here are bar stools in the shape of water drums and mushroom sets. Nestled in a corner is furniture brought in by Shorabh from Malerkotla, which exudes an irresistible old-world charm.
