I don8217;t feel the Gujarat unit is thinking along these lines. Nor has the matter been brought to the notice of the central leadership. This is only speculation.

WHY do you allow the VHP to display its anti-Centre stance?

The VHP is a separate organisation with its own agenda. I do agree that one is almost driven to conclude that the VHP is the main opposition to the government. But it is for the VHP to assess the situation.

Is the best phase of the BJP over?

It is natural that everyone in the BJP is exercised over poll reversals. But show me one party which has not suffered reversals. Everybody predicted the BJP8217;s demise in 1984.

But because of the efforts put in by our leadership and our cadre, we came back in 1989 and today we are the ruling party.
