Fire crackers seized

PANCHKULA, July 15: A large quantity of fire crackers and the raw material used in making them was seized by the Panchkula Police from Haripur village near Sector 4 here today. The police have arrested a shopkeeper Rajiv Gupta in this connection. According to the Superintendent of Police Alok Mittal, 57 cartons of fire crackers weighing 2,500 kg were seized following a raid by the police on a shop of an electrician. The shopkeeper did not have a license to keep the fire crackers and was storing these illegally.
