Fire breaks out in CBI HQ, no damage reported

A minor fire broke out this morning in the sixth floor of a building housing the CBI headquarters in New Delhi.

A minor fire broke out this morning in the sixth floor of a building housing the CBI headquarters in New Delhi.

The fire, which broke out at 0840 hours, was confined to a small corner in the corridor of the sixth floor where wooden chairs and racks containing some library books were kept, a CBI spokesman said.

The blaze was apparently caused by a short circuit, the spokesman said, adding it was soon brought under control.
