Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) raised their holding in Tata Power Ltd and BSES Ltd, now Reliance Energy Ltd, to 9.95 per cent and 5.98 per cent respectively in the third quarter ended December 2003. FIIs raised their stake in Tata Power from 6.17 per cent as on September 30, 2003, to 9.95 per cent as on December 2003, with small cap fund and GMO emerging market fund holding 1.92 per cent and one per cent stake respectively, according to stock exchange, Mumbai. The foreign investors more than doubled their stake in BSES, from 2.9 per cent as on September 30, 2003, to 5.98 per cent at the end of December. Total foreign holding in the BSES stood at 16 per cent at the end of December 2003, with GDRs having share of 9.74 per cent. (PTI)
