CHANDIGARH, June 2: Ex-parte proceedings against former Supreme Court judge Kuldip Singh in a civil suit filed against the quot;amendment of rules and regulations of the World Sikh Councilquot; was today set aside by UT Chief Judicial Magistrate Sant Parkash. The case will now come up for filing of written reply on July 28 next.

At the very onset today, an application on behalf of Justice Kuldip Singh was moved for setting aside the order directing ex-parte proceedings.Earlier, Shamsher Singh Maloya had alleged that the report on amendment submitted by Justice Kuldip Singh, Justice Ranjit Singh along with Dr H.K. Manmohan Singh and Brig Gurdip Singh to Bhai Ranjit Singh was quot;without jurisdictionquot;.

He had stated that the draft of the revised memorandum of association and rules and regulations was quot;without the authority of the World Sikh Councilquot; as the initial committee appointed for suggesting amendments had ceased to exist.

He had added that some members had been dropped, while president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Gurcharan Singh Tohra had been included in the committee reconstituted by Justice Kuldip Singh and others.
