Eviction deadline over but Rabri stays put

Former CM Rabri Devi continued to stay put in the 1, Anne Marg bungalow even as the government ultimatum to her for vacating it expired on Tuesday. The notice, served on her by the Building Construction Department on December 13, had threatened forcible eviction.

Though the Yadav couple could not be contacted, Bhola Yadav, private secretary to Rabri Devi said it was impossible to vacate the house till renovation of the house allotted to her was complete. Earlier, Laloo had accused the Nitish Kumar government of indulging in political vendetta by issuing the vacation order without readying the alternative residence.
