
MYSORE, Nov 16: The Director General of Police (DGP) T Srinivasalu said the number of troops required to take up a joint operation to nab forest brigand Veerappan was adequate.
Speaking to press persons here yesterday, he ruled out any misunderstanding between the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu STF officials and said healthy relations existed between the STF chief Kalimutthu and other subordinates.
Replying to a question, the DGP said the Department has specifically advised the STF personnel to take local people into confidence during their operation. When asked about the allegation of the Deputy Commander of the Border Security Force Muthukumar relating to the collection of Rs 41 lakh and 1.5 kg gold to release Veerappan’s associates.
