NEW DELHI, September 6: The cash-strapped Delhi Vidyut Board (DVB) received a shot in the arm with the recovery of Rs 232 crore as dues owed by consumers in just one month. Enthused by the performance, the Board aims at achieving the target of Rs 250 crore in the month of September.

According to DVB’s own admission the average recovery rate so far has been a mere Rs 170 crore every month. The Board employees had gone on strike against their low salary, perks and “step-motherly treatment”.
