DSP to probe beef tallow case

CHANDIGARH, Nov 11: Deputy Superintendent of Police S.C. Abrol will investigate the beef tallow case, it is learnt. Earlier, following DSP Vijay Pal8217;s report that the files of beef tallow case registered in 1983 and a property case of 1984 were not available in the police station, former UT Senior Superintendent of Police C.S.R. Reddy had recommended an inquiry. Allegations had surfaced that the police tried to hush up the two cases by not taking adequate action. Reddy had written to the IGP, S.K. Singh, that a departmental inquiry be conducted to fix responsibility.
