For Rahul Dravid, the first ODI against West Indies provided more than one reason to be delighted. In making 105, Dravid not only became the first one-day centurion versus the West Indies in the West Indies, he also became the first Indian to post three centuries against the West Indies in one-dayers. Sachin Tendulkar and Krishnamachari Srikkanth have scored two centuries each against the Caribbeans. Sunil Gavaskar8217;s 90 off 117 balls at Berbice, Guyana, in 1983 was the previous highest one-day score by an Indian in West Indies. The other records are:

8226; Dravid completed 1,000 ODI runs against the West Indies. He now has 1,014 runs from 28 matches at an average of 48.28. Second Indian to do so after Tendulkar 1145 runs at an average of 47.71 in 31 matches

8226; Highest individual innings by an overseas player at Kingston. Graeme Smith8217;s 103 for South Africa last year was the previous best.

8226; Dravid8217;s 123-run stand with Mohammad Kaif for the fourth wicket was the second best for India in the West Indies for any wicket. The best is a stand of 130 runs between Dravid and Sourav Ganguly for the second wicket at Arnos Vale in 1997.

8226; Dravid became the third Indian to complete 100 catches as a fielder not while 8217;keeping when he caught Chris Gayle yesterday. Only Mohammed Azharuddin with his world record of 156 and Tendulkar 107 are ahead.
