PANCHKULA, Sept 5: Dharminder Lilly beat Sunny Bhalla 4-1 in the semifinal league stage to assert his supremacy in the professional category in the SK Bajaj Memorial snooker tournament at the Cute Q8217;s Billiards and Snooker Pool Centre in Sector 6.
In another semifinal leaguematch Sandeep Duggal got the better of Manish Srivastva 35-53, 54-36, 54-37, 61-32, 64-38, to remain in contention for the title.
Earlier, Sandeep had defeated Manan Nagpal 3-0.
In the match between Dharminder Lilly and Sunny Bhalla, the former won the first frame 66-25 but lost the second frame narrowly 53-60. After the second fame, Dharminder, who is Punjab No 1 and ranked fifth in the country showed his class to pocket the third frame 60-38. His best came in the fourth 70-31 and fifth 87-1 frame, respectively, when he hit breaks of 33 and 83 points.
