President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday gave her assent to the delimitation proposal, paving way for the notification by the Government to operationalise the delimitation process. The exercise, under which the 3,726 assembly constituencies and 513 Lok Sabha constituencies have been redrawn, would now affect several political leaders whose constituencies have either got altered or got reserved or disappeared under the process.
