
DU Combined Entrance Exams result declared
The results of the Combined Entrance Examination 1998, conducted by the Delhi University on May 17, were declared on Sunday. The results will be notified at the examination branch of Delhi University, Delhi College of Engineering at Kashmere Gate, its new campus at Bawana Road and the Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Kashmere Gate on June 1. Candidates can check the results at the above centres after 12.30 p.m. Around 21,000 students gave the test.
PMT/PAT exam admit cards
Candidates who have applied for the PMT/PAT examination conducted by the Benaras Hindu University BHU and have not received their admit cards may contact the IMA guest house at the Indraprastha Estate on June 3 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.. According to the BHU spokesperson, candidates should take two attested passport-size photographs and the information bulletin supplied with the form to obtain duplicate admit cards.
Relief camp for ITO jhuggi cluster
The Delhi Pradesh Samajwadi Party organised a relief camp for the victims of the fire that broke at the slum cluster near Yamuna Pushta. More than a thousand loaves of bread and old clothes were distributed among the families whose homes were ravaged by the fire. Pradesh vice-president Shan Sagar has also demanded monetary compensation for the victims from the Delhi Government.
Delhi Urological Society meet
8220;Keyhole surgery for uretric and kidney stones, using laproscope8221; was the subject of the latest clinical meet, organised by the Delhi Urological Society DUS at the Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital on Saturday. The experts discussed the latest surgical modality that has greatly reduced the surgical trauma to the patient, which reduce the length of hospital stay and the expenses involved.
The programme, aimed at increasing the awareness of the clinical fraternity about the subject, was participated by experts from AIIMS, Ganga Ram Hospital and Tirath Ram Hospital.
MCD sanitation drive
Delhi Mayor Yog Dhyan Ahuja on Sunday informed that the MCD has made arrangements in connection with the launching of one-month long special sanitation drive on June 2. The main function will be held in Chandni Chowk, near Town Hall, where Lt Governor Vijay Kapoor and Chief Minister Sahib Singh will launch the drive.
