A 13-yr old girl kills self in CR Park
A 13-year-old girl reportedly committed suicide in her Chittaranjan Park house around 10 a.m today. Supriya Mitra was alone at home at the time of the incident. The suicide note said that no one should be held responsible for the suicide.
Her mother had gone out to pay the electricity bills. When she came back and there was no response to her knocks, she broke open the door with the help of the neighbours. Supriya had hung herself from the hook of a ceiling fan with a rope. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Her father Pankaj Mitra who works as deputy chief manager of Dhanbad Coal mines is presently at Dhanbad. Supriya and her mother had shifted to Delhi in February this year to live in their own house in C.R. Park.
The deceased was a class VIII student of Birla Vidya Niketan. However, her mother Anita Mitra, in her statement to the police, has said that Supriya was fine and she had not noticed any abnormal behaviour. Supriya had reportedly scored above 80 percent marks in her exams ruling out the fact that she might be depressed over her exams.
Bus operators stick to stand
Blueline bus operators decided that they would wait for the court decision before meeting the government. They had earlier moved a petition in the Delhi High court against the government scheme to bring Bluelines under the Delhi Transport Corporation.
President of STA Nyaya Panchayat Ramesh Dalal said that the bus unions had passed three resolutions today: 8220;Permits should be granted by STA and not the DTC for the next five years, no change in bus routes for the next five years and ownership rights should be transferable on the basis of general power of attorney.8221; The leaders of other bus unions reiterated the same views. President of the Delhi Bus Operators Forum G.S More said they would not budge from their stand till the government gave them five years permits. 8220;We are not ready to come under the DTC under any condition,8221; he said.
