The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today set a one-year deadline for beginning construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya and said it was prepared for any confrontation in the event of restrictions by authorities.

Asked whether it was a deadline or ultimatum to the government, he replied, 8216;8216;You are free to analyse and draw your own conclusion.8217;8217;

The building of the Ram temple was 8216;8216;overdue8217;8217; and figures high on the VHP8217;s agenda, Kishore said. 8216;8216;But unfortunately the BJP could not do anything during the previous NDA regime,8217;8217; he claimed.
