CHANDIGARH, AUG 31: Dashmesh Singh8217;s second-half goal helped Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36 score a solitary goal win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, in the under-14 football tournament at the Government Model School in Sector 23.
Both the teams were balanced and missed several chances to score in the first half.
In the second half, GNPS lads dominated the match and Dashmesh who missed to score in the first half, netted the match winner in the closing stages of the contest.
In another match Goverment High School, Sector -37 got a walkover from St Xavier School, Sector 44. The winner of the meet will be awarded cash prize of Rs 5000. More than 15 teams are taking part in the meet. The matches are being played on knock out basis.
