The floral crown rests on 8216;Snowball8217;
8220;You can not express the beauty of nature but only feel it,8221; says Mishu Kohli who won 8216;King of the Show8217; award in the Chrysanthamum Show held recently at the Terrace Garden, Sector 33, Chandigarh. The white beauty displayed by the lady is called 8216;snowball8217; . Since the last three years Kohli has been participating in the show and winning prizes in different categories like artistic arrangement, bets flower et al. The annual Rose Festival has also seen beautiful floral entries by her. Having been brought up in a family of nature admirers, her love for the flowers was an obvious development. In her words, 8220;I have seen my parents and in-laws caring and putting efforts in the upbringing of these flowers as their own children. So I grew up to be more nurturing and sensitive towards nature.8221;
The lawn at their house is a rainbow of blossoms with various varieties of flowers like bird of paradise, zebras, snowball, and gladiolus. The garden also houses a lot of exported flowers. Kohli reminisces, 8220;When I grew a rose for the first time, I noticed the petals one after another come up and understood how nature works.8221;
Though her collection is huge in number, she has not opted it as a profession. Besides her own hard work she does not forget to appreciate the contribution of her 8216;malis8217;. To encourage the gardeners, she distributes the prizes among them. She says, 8220;I always take my gardeners along with me to collect the prize so that they feel good about it and do more for the next time.8221;
