Woman missing
A 25-year-old unmarried woman is missing since Tuesday morning, the Kapodara police were informed. Ranjana Savji Kumbhar, her mother, informed the police that her daughter Naina had gone to Mahatma Gandhi High School in the area to drop a school girl at around 7 am and did not return. Naina was mentally unstable and deaf, she added.

Found dead
The Limbayat police recovered the dead body of an unidentified 30-year-old man from a field near Dindoli off Limbayat on Tuesday morning. The body was found from the field of one Jeevan Raman today morning, who alerted the police. The police have sent the body to the New Civil Hospital for a post mortem as it bears no injury marks, the police added. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered. The Mahidharpura police also recovered the dead body of an unidentified 65-year-old man from a ST bus at the CBS on Tuesday morning. The peron, wearing a traditional Kathiyawadi costume, was found dead in the ST bus (GJ 18 V 3236). A case has been registered with the Mahidharpura police.

Theft
Unidentified persons broke into a house in Ramnagar area of Rander after midnight and decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 48,000 from a safe while the family was asleep. Laxmi Raghav Chavda of 4/A Bhagyalaxmi Society on Rander Road told the police on Tuesday evening that unidentified persons entered her house by breaking the door latch between 1 am and 5 am. A case under IPC 457 and 380 has been registered with the Rander police.
