CHANDIGARH, Nov 12: City Senior Superintendent of Police C.S.R. Reddy has dismissed Dharambir, a constable, who was convicted in a case of snatching last year.
The dismissal follows directions issued by the IGP, R.P. Singh directing all punishing authorities to dismiss all policemen convicted by a court irrespective of appeals against the conviction pending in a higher court. Dharambir is currently an inmate of the Burail jail.
