SOLAPUR, Nov 17: The Solapur district consumers8217; protection cell has decided to hold a special meeting with Municipal Commissioner D.N. Mandalekar to discuss various consumer issues related to the corporation.
At the meeting of the consumers protection cell, some members complained that the speed breakers in the city were not painted, thus violating the rules. It is said that the corporation has no funds to paint the speed breakers. However the members of the cell pointed out that the work of providing the speed breakers also entails painting them. RTO officials have also conceded to provide the sanctioned driving licences to people at various places.
