AHMEDABAD, JAN 21: Congress Legislature Party CLP has decided to send a team headed by public accounts committee chairman Mohansinh Rathwato the Dangs to get detailed information about continued attacks on minorities in the area.

The decision was taken at a CLP meeting chaired by its leader Amarsinh Chaudhary here on Thursday.

The team will visit the Dangs on February 1 and present its report in the Assembly. Meanwhile, in another meeting of party office-bearers chaired by PCC president C D Patel it was decided that the Congress would intensify its mass contact programmes.

Patel later said that Lok Shakti rallies would be taken out at taluka and district levels after the Vicharmanthan Shibir on January 28. He said these rallies would be culminated into public meetings. Patel said as many as 150 Assembly constituencies would be covered by these rallies. Amarsinh Chaudhary and Sanat Mehta also addressed the party meeting among others.
