This film is one film which is keeping a number of some great directors awoke day and night waiting to pass judgemnt on. They want to change sides. They want to see how Khalid, the critic, takes their stand on his film, – directors like Mahesh Bhatt, Govind Nihalani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and a number of other young and old directors who have been treated to Khalid’s trial of their tough tests from time to time.

Fiza is a very big fire by test by fire for Hrithik Roshan. He stormed the nation, stole millions of hearts all over the world with his very first film, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. He has set standards for himself as an actor. He will have to keep up to the standards he has set or rise several peaks higher.

For Karisma Kapoor it is a challenge to be caught between some of the most talented artists. "She’s damn good," they say. How `damn good’ she will have to prove. She has no other way out. This is one of her best opportunities in a very long time.

The music directors, Anu Malik (music director), AR Rahman, (special arranger) and Ranjit Barot (background music) have given Fiza the right tunes at the right times to make the right impact at the right time.

I have grown up as a journalist with Khalid. I know him as a sensitive, talented, knowledgeable leading lights of our generation. We hope he doesn’t let us down. To a very great extent we of his generation know how Khalid’s mind must be working now.

Everyone is talking about the great future that lies ahead for Hrithik but both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik who gave their best to the making of Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai are as nervous as any newcomers. "I am more nervous than I was during the days before the release of my own film", Rakesh says and looks at his palms symbolically.

They want Fiza to do well because what Khalid has done will reflect on them so much.
