MARGAO, Sept 15: Down by a goal in the 62nd minute, Churchill Brothers came from behind to down Vasco Sports Club 2-1 in the second edition of the DSP Professional League here today. After a barren first half, Vasco went into the lead in the 62nd minute through Sukhdeo Arwade off a lapse from keeper Edward Ansah. As Ansah held on to the ball too long on top of the box, Cyril challenged him and after snatching the ball, took a long shot from the top of the box into the empty net.
Churchill Brothers restored the parity in the 75th minute when a lob from Somatai Shaiza flag-kick was smartly back heeled by substitute Cyril Barreto. Churchill defender Osumanu Husseni, who often moved upfront, found the match winner in the 82nd minute when his header beat the keeper.
