This year, the Christmas spirit rightly enveloped the street children, as about 200 of them came together to paint, have fun with clowns and jugglers, play games, listen to songs 8212; and become just kids. Like 12-year-old Raju, who could not stop smiling when Santa paid him a visit. The festivities were organised by the law firm Amarchand Mangaldas in collaboration with SEED, an NGO that works with street children and helps them channelise their energy into creative arts. A painting competition was organised for kids aged between 10 and 16, and 12 best works were selected for the 2009 Amarchand Mangaldas calendar. And in the true spirit of the season, every child went home with a stack of goodies, courtesy of Disney. The carnival was also attended by the attorneys of the firm who came to show their solidarity with the cause. The event was also supported by The Indian Express Group, National Geographic, Sterling Publishers and Vibgyor Brand Services.
