SALEM, January 17: Mauritius and Chennai will be linked by a direct flight from March this year. Salem-Dharmapuri Chamber of Commerce President S Sathyanarayanan said the Government of Mauritius had agreed to operate the flight in response to a request from representatives of the Chamber. A total of 16,000 Indians visited Mauritius last year, and the figure is slated to rise.
