There are several unhappy murmurs doing the rounds at the BJP office about party chief ministerial candidate Vijay Kumar Malhotra8217;s behaviour towards MLAs. With election dates close, enthused MLAs are taking their best workers to Malhotra for words of encouragement. He has, however, rebuffed them with a quiet nod or, at times, without even a second look.

Out of the picture
Television actor Vani Tripathi is rumoured to have been considered as the BJP candidate for New Delhi versus Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and then as front-runner for another seat in the city. However, she is nowhere in the picture now and will be going off to the US to accept a global leadership award. It8217;s been a quick and sudden end to what people thought would be an interesting political debut for the actor and daughter of a Delhi-based Hindi professor.

Pro-incumbency will ensure win: Dikshit
Claiming that dissidence within the Congress would not mar the prospects of her party on November 29, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday lashed out at her detractors, saying only those who did not get tickets were unhappy. She said 8220;pro-incumbency8221; would ensure a Congress win. 8220;There is nothing on record to suggest that our chances will suffer because of anti-incumbency,8221; she said.
