In-laws to the rescue
With all his Cabinet colleagues now in the safe zone, Delhi health minister Yoganand Shastri, a victim of delimitation, is now looking for hope some 40 km away from his present constituency, Malviya Nagar. With this constituency going to Hauz Khas MLA Kiran Walia, Shastri is hoping to find support in his sasural, Narela. Sources close to the minister said Shastri has been given only two options, Mehrauli or Narela, and given that he could use the clout of his in-laws, he is seriously contemplating contesting the elections from there.
Who8217;s laughing now
BJP MLA Vijay Jolly8217;s mimicking might be amusing for the media and other spectators but not for senior BJP leaders. On Thursday, as Jolly tried to warm up to BJP leader Arun Jaitley, the latter rebuffed him for claiming that he jogged early in the morning with a fracture in his leg. 8220;How can you jog with a fracture?8221; Jaitley exclaimed and murmured that Jolly come up with better ideas to attract attention.
