26 members of marriage party killed
Twenty-Six members of a marriage party, belonging to the minority community, were killed and six injured in the biggest-ever massacre by militants in broad daylight in the hilly Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir today.

The massacre took place at Chapnari around 2.30 p.m. when the victims were reportedly waiting for a vehicle on the Doda-Bhagwa road north of river Chenab, 10 kms from here. The victims, after the wedding at Kathlal last night, had come to Chapnari on foot to board a vehicle for Prem Nagar, a report from Doda says.
