Govt stays TRAI order on tariffs
Government today stayed the hike in phone tariffs and rentals announced by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India TRAI yesterday. quot;The government has decided to issue a policy direction to TRAI to keep its order of March 9, 1999, in abeyance till the entire issue is considered,quot; Communications Minister Jagmohan said in the Lok Sabha.
