Central rule may be revoked
After winning the numbers game in the Lok Sabha, the Vajpayee Government is veering around to the idea of revoking President8217;s Rule in Bihar rather than going through the charade of a vote it cannot win in the Rajya Sabha. A pre-budget Cabinet meeting, scheduled tomorrow morning, will take a final view on this. The revocation option is being pushed forcefully by all the BJP8217;s allies except the Samata Party.

LS approves President8217;s rule
The Lok Sabha has approved Presidential proclamation on Bihar.While 279 voted in favour of the resolution, 250 voted against it. The resolution for ratification of President8217;s Rule in Bihar was moved in the Lok Sabha by Home Minister L K Advani yesterday.
