Tohra offers to quit as SGPC chief
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee SGPC president Gurcharan Singh Tohra today announced he would boycott all functions of the Punjab government to protest against what had happened at the Golden Temple.

He was speaking at Chandumajra village, near Rajpura, on the bhog ceremony of the mother of Akali Dal MP, Prem Singh Chandumajra.

INLD defers withdrawal
The Vajpayee Government got a breather today when the Indian National Lok Dal INLD deferred its decision to withdraw support till February 21. The decision to give 10 more days to the government to roll back the hike in prices of urea, wheat, rice and LPG was taken at a meeting of the party at Panipat this afternoon in the wake of the Prime Minister8217;s request.
