PUNE, August 6: The Pune II commissionerate, central excise has collected a revenue of Rs 628 crore in 1997-98. It is expected to collect Rs 715 crore in the current year. During the first quarter, Rs 136 crore have been collected.
According to a statement issued here by R.C. Mishra, deputy commissioner P amp; V, the major revenue paying units are Finolex Industries, Ratnagiri; Kirloskar Copeland, Karad and Maharashtra Scooters, Satara. He said revised targets had been achieved despite the recessionary trend.
