Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha Chirajit Singh Atwal has said that the CBI probe into the alleged murder of a dalit youth in Gohana city is likely to reveal the identity of the perpetrators of the crime.

The role of the police in conducting the inquiry was doubtful and the allegations levelled against the deceased Rakesh alias Lara were baseless and aimed to defame him, Atwal told media persons on Sunday evening.

The deputy speaker questioned the police for not handing over the body of the deceased to his parents after the postmortem at PGIMS Rohtak.
