NAIROBI: New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns has fallen victim to a recurrent knee injury that could threaten his place on the forthcoming tour of South Africa, team officials said.Cairns missed New Zealand's ICC knock-out trophy semi-final match against Pakistan in Nairobi after straining a tendon in his right knee during Monday's quarter-final victory over Zimbabwe.The tendon has been giving the Kiwi problems for the past two years.The officials said Cairns could still play as a batsman if New Zealand qualified for Sunday's final and added he had not yet been ruled out of the South Africa tour.
