Bumper election incentive

A large chunk of UP Congress leaders, including state president Rita Bahuguna Joshi, may have raised the demand for the formation of a separate state of Bundelkhand out of Uttar Pradesh, but not all party leaders are happy at this development. A senior state Congress leader said on the sidelines of a lunch recently hosted by an important party functionary: 8220;I know it is a losing battle, but I am clear in my mind that it is like an end-of-the-season sale.8221; The UPA may have its eye on general elections, but will it really gain from carving Uttar Pradesh into different states?
