Birla AT amp; T to start Calling party pays8217;
Birla AT amp; T Communications Limited is all set to introduce the Calling Party Pays8217; from November 1, 1999.
The company has revised downwards the rates of call management services, one of the services provided by the company to its subscribers.
AT amp; T has chalked out a package 3 in 18242; which includes caller identification presentation CLIP, Call HoldCH, Call Wait CW and National Circle Coverage NCC will now be made available at a nominal monthly fee of Rs. 80.
The company has made arrangements to automatically enroll all AT amp; T subscribers under this package. The NCC facility subscribers can now opt to be contacted on their cellular even while travelling to any of the 32 cities in the country.
Schemes from Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund
Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund KMMF is launching two new open ended schemes K-Bond and K-Balance. Both the schemes are available for subscription and will close on November 5. The initial offer of units at par value of Rs. 10.
The K-Bond is divided in two plans 8211; for retail and wholesale investors. The company offers a premium to investors who remain in the plan for atleast one year. K-Bond Deposit plan has a minimum entry level of Rs. 10,000 to first time investment and of Rs. 1,000 thereafter. The Bond will invest in debt instruments such as bonds, debentures, government securities and money market instruments.
K-Balance is designed for investors who seek to moderate risk associated with equity investments. The minimum subscription is Rs. 10,000. The portfolio of the scheme will target 51/49 for equity and debt.
Chocolates from Le Meridien
LE Meridien has launched premium chocolates and fudges for the festive season.
They come in assorted flavours 8211; Hazelnut, Passionfruit, mint, Cointreau, Honey and rum in chocolate and orange mint, Hazelnut and pista chocolate in fudges. Gillette shaving foam
Indian Shaving Products has launched Gillette, a new shaving foam in two packs 8211; 200 gm and 50 gms. The packs are priced at Rs. 80 and Rs. 30 respectively.

Samsung India Electronics Ltd has launched its millennium digital campaign for the Indian consumer. The campaign entails introduction of the state of the art digital technology products for the Indian consumer.
The digital technology products introduced includes the Internet music player Yepp8217; to Digital Video Disc Players which are available in select outlets in the city.
Mumbai Jewellery show
The Mumbai Jewellery show will be held at Hotel Holiday Inn from October 30 to November 1.
Jewellery in silver, gold and diamond will be displayed by prominent jewellery houses from Mumbai such as Diamondstar Exports Ltd, Spectacular Jewellers, Vajubhai Jewellers and Sunshine Industries Pvt Ltd. The focus of the exhibtion will be on bridal, traditional as well as fashionable contemporary jewellery.
