Thomas Cook office opened
Thomas Cook, a prominent international travel and financial institutional group, has opened its branch office in Chinchwad. The office, located at Hotel Kiran on Pune-Mumbai Road, offers retail foreign exchange services and will shortly provide corporate travel services. This is the company8217;s second office in Pune, the first being located on Gen. Thimmaya Road.

The Chinchwad office will be will be open on all Sundays and will remain closed on Thursday in keeping with the weekly off at this industrial belt.Currency encashment, traveller cheques, release of business exchange as well as exchange for other purposes are some of the retail foreign exchange services which will be available at the office. Besides, the office will also provide Moneygram,8217; a service which facilitates quick money transfers to India from anywhere in the world.

Tele-shopping enters city
The Asian Sky Shop, a television shopping network on the Zee Network, has appointed Superlex Trading Corporation as their franchisee in the city bringing tele-shopping closer to Puneites.

The Asian Sky Shop was started in April 1995 and has marketed over 250 products. At present ASS has 43 exclusive franchise outlets in the country.

Tele-shopping in the global scenario is a 13-year-old concept that originated in the US in 1985. The combined revenue of tele-shopping in the US alone is more than US 2.5 billion per annum. In India tele-shopping has an estimated Rs. 36 crore market with around three or four major players.

Eurofrigo launched
Kirloskar Pneumatic, a leading companies in refrigeration systems and industrial refrigeration compressors, has launched its latest range of transport refrigeration systems, with the help of Italy based Eurofrigo. It covers a wide range of temperatures from 5 C to 20 C and caters to volumes upto 30 cubic metres. These Eurofrigo units will prove a blessing for transporters of perishables like ice cream, processed meat and fish and also export-oriented floriculture units and airline caterers.
