
MUMBAI, June 1: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, corporators and activists are unhappy with the party’s performance as an alliance partner with Shiv Sena in the Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation.
The leaders wished to see the BJP corporators more active and vigilant while implementing the civic programme. They expressed concern at some decisions which were against the interests’ of the tax-payers.
A delegation led by senior BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders comprising the watchdog’ group met UMC Commissioner Capt. Suresh Shool and apprised him of lack of lack of civic amenities. They demanded strong action against tax evaders.
