Spice telecom to take action
With about five per cent of its customers defaulting on payment of bills, Spice Telecom has decided to take legal action against them. In a statement issued here today, Sean Dexter, managing director of Spice Telecom, said the company had no choice but to take severe action to ensure that non-payment of bills did not interfere with its effort to provide world class telecom services to the people of Punjab.
Initially, defaulting customers will receive reminder phone calls, letters and personal visits. "As a last resort, we will start civil and criminal proceedings against defaulters," he warned.
