
PUNCOM bags tender
Punjab Communication Limited has won a tender of the Department of Telecom DoT worth Rs 3 crore. According to Col N. S. Dhillon of the company, DoT opened a tender for the supply of Digital Distribution Frame DDF yesterday, in which PUNCOM emerged as the L-1 bidder. The company had earlier won the lion8217;s share in a DoT tender of Rs 119 crore.
SBI to sell gold
The State Bank of India is shortly launching a scheme for sale of gold on retail basis here under the liberalised gold policy of the Union government. The scheme, which will be available at main branch of SBI in Sector 17, will make available high quality gold to customers, according to SBI deputy general manager, S. K. Jain.

D-Link International, a leading global vendor of networking products, has decided to invest 2.5 million in expansion of its operations in India. The company 8211; which markets its products directly or through 8 distributors and 30 dealers 8211; plans to open offices in Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Indore.
