
PUNE, March 23: Bhushan Deshpande8217;s impressive spell of four for 26 came handy for Dilip A8217; Club in their effort to defeat Azad Cricket Club by two wickets with two balls remaining in the Poona District Cricket Association PDCA organised summer league cricket tournament, here recently.
Azad Club, helped by an unbeaten knock of 61 by Ashok Ranade, managed to score 150-runs in the stipulated 30 overs at the loss of eight wickets, after being troubled by Bhushan8217;s spell. In reply, Dilip A8217; Club overhauled the target just in time with two balls remaining and as many wickets in hand. Ravi Nagarkar 33 along with Bhushan Deshpande 27 were the run getters for the team.

Prashant Walture8217;s sizzling unbeaten knock of 139 was the highlight of Melbourne Cricket Club8217;s mammoth 106-run triumph over Unity Council Sports Association in the PDCA-Nazir Ali Shield cricket tournament.
Melbourne aided by Prashant8217;s knock piled up a huge 284-runs total in the allotted 40 overs. Supporting him at the other end was Ramesh Tikone who passed the half-century mark getting out on 53. Unity Council found the task difficult as wickets tumbled one after the other. The side was bowled out at the total of 178-runs eventually. Kamlakar Kumbhare scalped three wickets for 38 runs.
