David Beckham’s father ridiculed reports that his son would be leaving Premiership champions Manchester United this summer for a lucrative deal with deposed European title holders Real Madrid.Ted Beckham told the Sunday Express the 28-year-old England captain loved Manchester United and wouldn’t want to move anywhere describing rumours to the contrary as laughable.“David is staying at Manchester United as long as they want him. He loves the club and doesn’t want to go,” he said. “Couldn’t you see that by the way he celebrated winning the Premiership trophy last weekend. Didn’t that tell you how much he wanted to stay? There is so much stuff written about him - the majority of it is wrong.“In fact, it’s quite laughable. I can’t say enough that David wants to stay at United. He loves the club and all the talk about Real Madrid is pure fantasy. If people say he is going to leave United, then all I can say is it’s a big joke.”Beckham senior said a television panel’s interpretation by lip reading that Beckham had said to team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the end of their last home game he was leaving was rubbish.“Even when he went on the pitch after the final home game of the season, it was interpreted as a farewell. He was just having a kickaround with his son Brooklyn. For the final time - David doesn’t want to go.”
