Mumbai are the champions but on the day Baroda played truly like one as hosts scored a comprehensive seven-wicket win over the visitors at the Municipal Corporation Stadium here today.

The win was worth five valuable points, including a bonus, while Mumbai tally went down to -1. Electing to bat on a wicket that helped the seamers, Mumbai were bowled out for 169 with the Pathans — Irfan Sr and Yusuf — taking centrestage. Baroda, chasing 170 for victory, reached the target in just 38.1 overs.
